2020 NMMI Alumni BATAAN DEATH MARCH Team

 Join the NMMI Alumni 2020 Bataan Death March Team. 

(This is only to infom us you will be at the event, you are responisble for your own registration fee)

 

STEP 1 –  Register to be on the NMMI Alumni Team. Click here to register. Please select the team you would like to be on. We will be forming teams for each category as registrations are submitted. NMMI Team members are encouraged to sign-up for the Honorary March, but you may opt to sign up for one of the 26.2 mile options, as well. 

· HONORARY MARCH – 14.2 miles

· CIVILIAN INDIVIDUAL LIGHT – 26.2 miles

· CIVILIAN INDIVIDUAL HEAVY – 26.2 miles with 35 lb. pack/rucksack

· CIVILIAN TEAM LIGHT – 26.2 miles; 5-person team must start and finish together

· CIVILIAN TEAM HEAVY – 26.2 miles with 35 lb. pack/rucksack; 5-person team must start and finish together

* Support team - Our support team is responsible for providing  water, electrolytes, and fruit at the finish line; Cheering on and taking photos/video of NMMI participants as they approach and cross the finish line;  Assisting those in need of first aid to the first aid tent; and assisting with any other needs.

STEP 2 –  Reserve your hotel room. Once registered on the NMMI Alumni Team, you will receive a separate email with the reservation group code to book your hotel room at the Courtyard by Marriot or Hampton Inn in Las Cruces. Hotel rates are discounted for this group.

STEP 3 –  Register and pay for the 2020 Bataan Death March.  Registration opens Oct. 1, 2019.

Our NMMI Alumni Teams will be register in the HONORARY MARCH – 14.2 miles, or the Civilian Light Team or Civilian Individual

Light Categories – 26.2 miles.  please review the information to help you make your selection on which march you prefer.

There are other Bataan activities on March 13 and 14 that have yet to be published by the event organizer’s website. A link will be emailed to the NMMI Alumni Team as soon as they are available.

1) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm – Packet pickup at Las Cruces Convention Center on University Avenue

2) 6:00 pm - NMMI Alumni Team Dinner at the Courtyard by Marriot on University Avenue

Sunday, March 15, 2020

1) 6:00 am – Marchers report and assemble at White Sand Missile Range for Opening Ceremony

2) 6:20 am – Bataan Death March Begins

12:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Gather at NMMI Alumni Tent as team member go through the finish line for burgers, pictures, and social time
